Certified Application Assistance Organizations (CAAO)
CAAOs are organizations, schools, businesses and other community groups who contract with the Office of Healthy Kids in order to help families fill out the application for Healthy Kids.
To become a CAAO, your group must contract with the Office of Healthy Kids. Contracted CAAOs receive a payment of $75 for every completed application that leads to the successful enrollment of a child into the Healthy Kids program.
Note: The CAAO program is currently closed.
Volunteer Organizations are groups who enter into a voluntary contract to help families apply for the program, but do not receive payment for the application assistance they provide.
Targeted Outreach Grantees
Targeted Outreach Grantees are organizations that applied for and awarded a grant to reach out to and help families apply for the Healthy Kids program.
Note: The grantee program is currently closed.
Community Partners can help spread the word about Healthy Kids to families in their community.
Anyone can help spread the word about Healthy Kids! Healthy Kids Community Partners are vital to helping get the word out to families.
Partners can attend free informational training sessions, distribute Healthy Kids materials, and refer families to local CAAOs, Grantees, Volunteer Organizations, or DHS branch offices for help completing an application.
Providers can help spread the word about Healthy Kids and assist families applying for the program by date stamping applications.
Health care leaders in the community have a great opportunity to let families with uninsured children and teens know about the Healthy Kids program.
As a medical provider, you can partner with Healthy Kids to obtain and use a date stamp, order applications and spread the word about Healthy Kids.
Please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org for more information about getting a date stamp.
